This is a great car and incredibly fun to drive. If you like rubberneckers, this car will supply them.
I am by no means a Porsche expert. You probably know more about them than I do. I am not sure what this car is called by number, but I do know that it is a 1960 Drauz Roadster with a 1963 SC race built engine. I have the original block. Here is what has been done to the 1963 SC engine: images/Porsche 356 engine info.pdf
This car was used at Porsche Club of America meets for racing. I have the correct block in storage, but she has a 1963 SC engine that has been race equipped. It seems pretty fast. See the link below for what was done to the engine. It was in a wreak at the track and I bought the car through the insurance company, as such, it has an Colorado "S" title. That means the insurance company paid the policy holder the stated value rather than repair the car.
The car had a racing roll bar, no top or passenger seat; it was set up to be a race car. All we did was return it to a street car, with a new interior, I bought a top mechanism and all the missing parts, like the passenger seat, but we left the racing drive line in place as it was - and put her back on the road.
We straightened the body, and replaced as many panels as needed, including the entire floor. Stoddard parts in Ohio I believe named a wing on their building after us. The interior and all parts came from Stoddard. You will notice that I added an original radio also. The interior shop lost the radios knobs. It also has the dry sealed Optima 6 volt battery. It has a full stabilization cage in the rear, all I can tell you is that it is yellow. Of course it has Bilstein shocks. It drives very nice, handles GREAT and is pretty darn fast.
Click on this link to read what was done to the 1963 SC engine. It is a fax and this is the best I could do in scanning it:

Remember, I do have the original block from the car.
Also available for sale is a 1980 924 Turbo: http://www.stevesclassiccars.com/1980_porsche_924_turbo.htm
And a 1993 Porsche 968 Cabriolet.
I am not sure what the 356 is worth these days, but I am open to offers.

The following photos were taken 12-28-05. I took them to expand my page and did not wash the car first. It is in storage at this time and dirty, it is need of a good detailing. I never drive the car anymore and it needs to go to a home where it will be better taken car of and used. Sorry about the kitty-cat paw marks. While these photos are newer than the photos that are posted above, they show more detail and - I wanted to disclose all that I know is wrong with the car, so I photographed the flaws to document them for you. I may have stressed the flaws more than the positives, but I wanted you to know what you are being as clearly disclosed as possible.
I tend to accent the flaws, this is a very nice car that is only a few correction steps from being a really hot car. It is a head turner now, as it sits, a perfectionist would want to address the areas I have pointed out below. Whenever I drive it, I get waves, thumbs up, etcetera.
Obviously you are more than welcome to examine the car yourself, or have your agent examine the car. I will do all I can to help facilitate that.
There are informative photos mixed with the photos that show the imperfections below:
Thank you.
